This September, we opened our doors to a select group of businesses for an exclusive event.

Hosted at our Glasgow offices, the ‘Navigating the Future: How to Gain a Competitive Advantage through Digital Strategy and Planning’ event brought together industry leaders and ambitious business minds eager to understand digital innovation and how it might aid their business.

  • David Dick & Lorna Hughes: Kicking off the event, David Dick, Reach Plc’s Editor in Chief (Scotland), alongside Sunday Mail Editor, Lorna Hughes, delved into the digital transformation of newsrooms. Their discussion highlighted the evolution of editorial teams and how engaging with Scotland’s largest digital audience has been pivotal in their success.
  • Terry Hornsby & Hannah Hansen: Next, Terry Hornsby, Group Digital Director, and Hannah Hansen, Head of Audience & Campaign Analytics, enlightened attendees on maximising advertising investments. They explored advanced targeting technology and AI, offering a glimpse into the future of consumer targeting.
  • Darren Evans & Hannah Jones: Darren Evans from InYourArea and editor Hannah Jones shared their unique content strategy that leverages first-party location data. This session underscored how hyper-local engagement tactics can create personalised experiences that resonate deeply with communities. Hannah explained what the audience means to the InYourArea team and how they reply to every email or press release and put the reader experience at the forefront of everything they do.
  • Craig Ahlfeld: Regional Digital Director Craig Ahlfeld showcased Reach’s innovative products that provide unrivalled targeting opportunities. His insights into multi-channel advertising campaigns demonstrated how businesses can achieve exceptional response rates.
  • Lisa Cameron: Our host, Lisa Cameron, Regional Commercial Director, shared her journey through digital transformation, enriched by partnerships with key clients. Her experiences provided a real-world context to the theoretical insights shared throughout the day.
