The Pride of Britain Fund is giving away grants totalling £100,000 to local community groups and individuals, helping fund their good work.
After whittling down nearly two thousand nominations from around the country, the Pride of Britain Fund has drawn up a shortlist, and the public can now vote which local heroes should receive the grants.
The fund has earmarked £100,000 to supercharge the work of local heroes all over the country, with grants of £500, £1,000 and £2,500 to be given out to 65 deserving community projects.
Michelle Linaker, Trustee of Pride of Britain Fund and Head of Studio Live at Reach, said:
“It’s amazing to see so many people doing ‘small things’ that make a big difference in their communities. Whether it’s looking out for neighbours or giving kids safe places to play, they are truly unsung heroes. I’d encourage everybody to vote for their favourite as there are some fantastic nominations right across the country.”
